Patient advice

Patient advice

Our Patient Advice & Support Service (PASS) has been specially created to offer free, impartial and confidential advice to patients, their carers and families in Scotland. If you need advice and support, want to give feedback or comments, or to raise concerns or complaints about the healthcare provided by NHS Scotland, get in touch with Shetland Islands Citizens Advice Bureau. We’ll give you the information you need to understand the NHS complaint procedure and what your options are.

Support for NHS patients

We can offer guidance in a number of different situations.

Here are some examples:

  • Explaining the NHS complaint procedure and providing information and advice to help you make a complaint or raise a concern
  • Helping you to write letters and make phone calls about your concern or complaint
  • Guiding you through your rights and responsibilities as a patient

These are just some of the ways we can support you.

For further information, or to make an appointment, get in touch with Shetland Islands Citizens Advice Bureau today.
